HIGH QUALITY HEX JAM NUT: FREE Hex Jam Nut included with every LITE Muzzle Brake purchase

This Guide is for Rifle LITE Thread-On Muzzle Brakes which have internal threading for your threaded barrel.  All Grizzly Gunworks Rifle LITE Thread-On Muzzle Brake styles install the same.  Thread-On Muzzle Brakes come with two bolts.  Thread-On Rifle LITE Muzzle Brakes come with a Hex Jam Nut.  Please read the following before attempting to install or use your Rifle LITE Thread-On Muzzle Brake.  Below are examples of different styles of Rifle LITE Thread-On Muzzle Brakes.

How to Install a Grizzly Gunworks RIFLE LITE MuzzlE BRAKE?

ALL LITE THREAD-ON MUZZLE BRAKE STYLES INSTALL AND REMOVE THE SAME.

(Follow the SAFETY RULES at all times) 

1.  Make sure the firearm is unloaded. 

2.  Remove the bolt and magazine from the firearm.

3.  Align the muzzle brake with the barrel, and thread it on as far as possible.

4.  If the LITE Muzzle Brake times or levels properly when hand tightened, no precision hex jam nut is needed.  (Position GGW and the caliber stamping on the bottom of the device towards the ground).

5.  If the LITE Muzzle Brake does not time or level when tightened, the muzzle brake will have to be removed and the hex jam nut should now be installed onto the muzzle threads.  The LITE Muzzle Brake can be screwed onto the rifle again and timed.

6.  Tighten the hex nut against the Rifle LITE Muzzle Brake to hold it in position.

7.  Blue Loctite or removable thread locker can be used, however, it is not necessary on thread-on muzzle brakes.  

 


​BEFORE TEST FIRING DO THE FOLLOWING:


(​Follow the SAFETY RULES at all times)

1.  Make sure the firearm is unloaded.

2.  Since your bolt is removed, look through the barrel to make sure it is free from obstruction.

3.  Ensure your LITE Muzzle Brake is hand tightened.

4.  Make sure the ammunition you are using, the caliber marked on your firearm and the marking on the bottom of your muzzle brake are all matching.

5.  Always wear ear and eye protection during firing.


HOW TO REMOVE A GRIZZLY GUNWORKS LITE THREAD-ON MUZZLE BRAKE FROM YOUR FIREARM?


(​Follow the SAFETY RULES at all times) 

1.  Make sure the firearm is unloaded.

2.  Remove the bolt and magazine from the firearm.

3.  Remove the muzzle brake.


​SAFETY RULES:

  • Make sure your firearm is not loaded.
  • Always have the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. 
  • Do not place your finger on the trigger or on the trigger guard.
  • Prove your firearm is safe.  Remove the bolt and/ or magazine.
  • Always be aware of your target and surrounding area.

Make sure that the ammunition being used matches the caliber that is marked on the side of the barrel and/ or action, as well as, the caliber that is marked on the bottom of your muzzle brake.
