All Thread-On Muzzle Brake Styles install and remove the same.
Make sure the firearm is unloaded.
Remove the bolt and magazine from the firearm.
Align the muzzle brake with the barrel, and thread it on as far as possible.
When the muzzle brake stops turning, back it off counter clock wise to level or time the muzzle brake.
Position the GGW and caliber marking at the bottom. The bolt heads should be facing upwards.
Blue Loctite or removable thread locker can be used, however, it is not necessary on thread-on muzzle brakes.
Tighten the two fastening bolts to 60 inch pounds.
** Note: Tighten the bolts gradually, back and forth, and work your way up to 60 inch pounds. Please DO NOT tighten one bolt to 60 and then the other to 60, you have to alternate the bolts while tightening. **
Before Test Firing do the following:
Make sure the firearm is unloaded.
Since your bolt is removed, look through the barrel to make sure it is free from obstruction.
Make sure the muzzle brake bolts are tightened to 75 inch pounds.
Make sure the ammunition you are using, the caliber marked on your firearm and the marking on the bottom of your muzzle brake are all matching.
Always wear ear and eye protection during firing.
